Welcome to the toughest rowing race on earth! - THEY DID IT!!!!!
The Angels arrived safe and sound after 78 days, 15 hours and 54 minutes at sea - check out 'latest news' for all the details!
4 young women, the "Ocean Angels" have taken on the immense challenge of rowing 3,100 nautical miles across the Indian Ocean in a 29 foot rowing boat. Their goal is to raise £50,000 for Breast Cancer Care by taking all their supporters with them on their 'FaceBoat'.
At the same time, they aim to create history by becoming the first women ever to row across the Indian Ocean. They will set off on April 19th 2009 as part of the first ever Woodvale Challenge Indian Rowing Race.
Track the Ocean Angels aboard Pura Vida live on their Indian Ocean row from April 19th. Click on the map below for their latest position....
We hope our website enables you to join us on our journey - not only the physical row, but also the equally important target of raising £50,000 for Breast Cancer Care. We will be keeping you up to date with the preparations and fundraising before we go, the days at sea, right through to the celebrations at the other end and the handover of what we hope will be a suitably large cheque to Breast Cancer Care. Our plan is to record all the ups and downs here so you can share in this adventure with us. So enjoy! And come back often for updates to see how we're getting on. Any questions or fantastic money raising ideas are more than welcome so drop us a line through our contact page.
