1000 miles

10 May 2009

A good day aboard Pura Vida today, the angels are celebrating having reached the 1000m mark by having a peach and pineapple party! We’ve been saving our tinned fruit feast for this landmark so drooling has commenced!

tomorrow we are hoping to meet big Ed in a nearby field for a bit of a rave, so we're all looking forward to a bit of a boogey on down. Hopefully he’ll show us some of his famous rock 'n roll moves.

Despite having been at sea for 3 wks now some of the crew are still adjusting to life on board. Namely Elin who can still not work out our shift pattern and has to be reminded every time she gets on the oars how long her shift is. And Jo who is a craving a toilet she can sit on without having to straddle the person rowing at bow.

The babies of the boat (who have been rowing together) have been enjoying the lovely weather topping up their tans, also enjoying the beautiful sun rises and sunsets, while the grown ups have been caught discussing mortgages and jobs... don’t worry it didn’t last long they are currently on the subject of boys.

P.S. worry not blog readers who have expressed concern about Fi being on morphine already, she hasn’t hit the drugs yet, it’s just our way of explaining her madness!

Faceboat is back - join us on the boat!
