Having got on our way again, it soon became clear that one night in a motel just wasn't enough. Conditions outside meant that the lines were down and we'd missed the last train out of there. So once again we piled into the local motel and settled down for the night. Previously we had been booking one single and one family room but last night decided upon 2 twins instead. Whilst one was on the small side it was a lot more satisfactory and some sleep was had by all.

At the crack of sparrows we were on the road again. The wind had swung round a bit and we found that the b roads had led to the bottom of the m6 so we were able to get straight on and start to head NW. So far so good. No sign of major roadworks yet but recent events have shown they can appear when least expected.

Other news.... Sarah still has 2 pink toenails. Jo has a fetching blue plaster on her knee (purely for sympathy). Elin very much enjoyed the extra orange veg in her roast lamb. Fiona is nibbling on nobby's nuts.

Massive thanks to the Mission Atlantic boys for lending us their para anchor - it's doing the trick nicely. Thanks also for great msgs. Mark - if your backside is an advert for putting cream on then I think I'll give it a miss!!

Faceboat is back - join us on the boat!
