Oh what to wear?...
30 Jun 2009
While we are all desperately trying to get to land it seems that the Indian ocean is not ready to let us go just yet. The elements turned against us, and we had to deploy the para anchor again. Every ocean rowers worst nightmare when land seems to be so near but yet so far. We were pushed back 6 heart-breaking miles but we're now back at the oars and making the best progress we can (around 0.5k).
Not wanting the time on para anchor to be completely wasted we decided to do some personal grooming and a dress rehearsal for our arrival. The winner of the hairiest legs competition set to the challenging task of shaving off the long locks on her legs. Three razors later and she's nearly done!
The on board make up was all bought together (much to Elin's despair on realising how much excess weight had been rowed across!) and the girls practiced their best technique again.
And then of course it was down to the most crucial point of all "WHAT TO WEAR FOR LANDING?"
With clothes swapping, deck parading, various combinations tried, and endless discussion on preferred look (sporty angel, casual angel or office angel!) each angel now has an outfit planned for landing. But with a few more days (!!) still to go before the big event we will of course have changed our minds a thousand times over by then ... a bit like the weather!
