'One month down'

19 May 2009

So here we are again one month into our voyage. It's generally flown by apart from our little enforced rest days in the cabin when the weather isn't playing. Those have a tendancy to drag a little to say the least. Still we're on the move again now and so spirits lifted and progress being made. It's a little slow for our liking to tell the truth - especially when we hear about other boats having strong wind and favourable currents. The only strong winds on this boat are due to the quantity and nature of the food we're eating. As for currents unfortunately we only remembered to bring the sultanas. boom boom.

We almost had a disappointment earlier when discovering that the left over peaches from our previous celebration had gone mouldy. Still being my father's daughter a little bit of grey carpet wasn't enough to put anyone off - mould? Good for you. Our water bottles are also displaying some nice black specks - apparently that's penicillin and all good too. No wonder we're all so healthy.

Speaking of my father he has really excelled himself on the message front. 2 in the last month both of which were asking when I was going to provide him some grandchildren. Am I missing something? What exactly am I supposed to do about that request in the middle of the ocean with 3 other girls and no sign of wildlife?

Anyway I digress. Sarah has announced that she is getting off the boat at the next available opportunity, which made the rest of us chuckle. That will be Mauritius then. Apparently Jo is following suit. Enough for today - it's , passed bed time but we swapped partners again so all forgot to blog in the commotion.

NB these blogs are prone to a little embellishment and/or exaggeration for your and our entertainment. Some of them get replicated in the woodvale news releases. We didn't really try to drug the sea with morphine, crazy as we might be!

Faceboat is back - join us on the boat!
