Simply connect your computer to your GPS and our FREE viewer will show your boats position and overlay both the Ocean Current files and Sea Surface Temperature files relative to your position. (Watch our easy to follow “how to” tutorial to understand how to make this happen).
Tidetech’s GRIB files can also be uploaded and overlaid on other software such asExpedition, MaxSea and Deckman.
Tidetech files and images are also soon be available in PDF format and can be printed off before departure as a useful onboard resource.

Tidetech files are the best available for these waters and the raw data is provided by CSIRO.
Tidetech Ocean Current data is the average current over the past days measured by satellite and provides current strength, direction and position and includes cold and warm water streams.
Sea Surface Temperature files available for:
• Eastern Seaboard Australia from Fraser Island to Tasmania
Highest available Resolution (0.5km)
0.5degree celcius temperature accuracy
Latest overnight composite imagery (best because they are not affected by day time heating anomalies)
Latest daytime imagery also available (images updated 13 times per 24hr period).
